Scope of application
This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed by us in the company and to all personal data processed by companies commissioned by us (data processors). By personal data we mean information in accordance with Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, such as names, email addresses and postal addresses of individuals. The processing of personal data enables us to offer and bill our services and products, whether online or offline. The scope of this privacy policy extends to:
- All online presences (websites, online stores) operated by us.
- Social media presences and email communication.
- Mobile apps for smartphones and other devices.
In short: This privacy policy applies to all areas in which personal data is processed in a structured manner in our company via the channels mentioned. If we enter into legal relationships with you outside of these channels, we will inform you separately if necessary.
Storage period
We only store personal data for as long as is absolutely necessary for the provision of our services and products, which is a general criterion for us. This means that we delete personal data as soon as the reason for the data processing no longer exists. In some cases, we are legally obliged to store certain data even after the original purpose no longer applies, for example for accounting purposes. If you wish your data to be deleted or revoke your consent to data processing, the data will be deleted as quickly as possible, provided there is no legal obligation to retain it. Further information on the specific duration of the respective data processing can be found below, if additional information is available.
Rights under the General Data Protection Regulation
In accordance with the provisions of the GDPR and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), you have the following rights:
- Right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Article 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
- Right to notification – notification obligation in connection with the rectification or erasure of personal data or the restriction of processing (Article 19 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
- Right to object (Article 21 GDPR)
- Right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling (Article 22 GDPR)
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
In Austria, this is the data protection authority, whose website can be found at https://www.dsb.gv.at/.
In Germany, there is a data protection officer for each province. For more information, you can contact the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI). The following local data protection authority is responsible for our company:

Data transfer to third countries
We only transfer or process data in third countries if you consent to this processing or other legal permission has been granted. This is the case in particular if the processing is required by law or is necessary to fulfill a contractual relationship and only to the extent that this is generally permitted. In most cases, your consent is the most important reason for the processing of data in third countries.
The processing of personal data in third countries, such as the USA, where many software providers offer services and have their server locations, may mean that personal data is processed and stored in unexpected ways. We expressly point out that, according to the European Court of Justice, there is currently only an adequate level of protection for data transfers to the USA if a US company that processes personal data of EU citizens in the USA is an active participant in the EU-US data protection framework. You can find more information on this at: https://commission.europa.eu/document/fa09cbad-dd7d-4684-ae60-be03fcb0fddf_en

As a rule, web server log files are stored for two weeks and then automatically deleted. We do not pass this data on, but we cannot rule out the possibility of this data being viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.
Communication
If you contact us and communicate by telephone, e-mail, fax or contact form, personal data may be processed.

This requires certain technical facilities, such as email programs, exchange servers and mobile network operators, in order to operate communication efficiently.
Web Analytics
Google Analytics
On our website, we use the analysis tool Google Analytics in the version Google Analytics 4 (GA4) of the American company Google Inc. For the European area, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services.
Google Analytics collects data about your actions on our website. By combining various technologies such as cookies, device IDs and login information, you can be identified as a user across different devices. This allows your activities to be analyzed across platforms.
Google Analytics is a tracking tool that is used to analyze traffic data on our website. These measurements and analyses are based on a pseudonymous user identification number. This number does not contain any personal data such as name or address but is used to assign events to an end device. GA4 uses an event-based model that captures detailed information on user interactions such as page views, clicks, scrolling and conversion events.
Compared to previous versions such as Google Universal Analytics, GA4 uses significantly fewer cookies due to its focus on event-based data. Nevertheless, there are some specific cookies that are used by GA4. These include, for example:
Name: _ga
Value: 2.1326744211.152112572734-5
Purpose: Analytics.js uses this cookie by default to store the user ID in order to distinguish website visitors.
Expiration date: after 2 years
Name: _gid
Value: 2.1687193234.152112572734-1
Purpose: This cookie is also used to differentiate between website visitors.
Expiration date: after 24 hours
Name: _gat_gtag_UA_<property-id>
Value: 1
Purpose: Used to reduce the request rate. If Google Analytics is provided via the Google Tag Manager, this cookie is given the name _dc_gtm_ <property-id>.
Expiration date: after 1 minute
Note: This list is not exhaustive, as Google occasionally changes the selection of its cookies.
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
If you wish to deactivate, delete or manage cookies, you will find links to the instructions for the most common browsers in the "Cookies" section.
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and, if we ask for your express consent to the transfer of data to a third country, Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
There are also EU Commission standard contractual clauses for the transfer of data to the USA. Further information can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
For more information on data processing by Google, we recommend that you read the company's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Tag Manager of the American company Google Inc. For the European area, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services.
Google Tag Manager is a tool with which we can integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies into our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create any user profiles, does not store any cookies and does not carry out any independent analyses. It is only used to manage and deliver the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager records your IP address, which may also be transmitted to Google's parent company in the USA.
The Google Tag Manager is used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and, if we ask for your express consent to the transfer of data to a third country, Art. 49 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
Facebook Pixel
We use the Facebook pixel from Facebook on our website. We have integrated a code for this on our website. The Facebook pixel is a piece of JavaScript code that loads a collection of functions with which Facebook can track your user actions if you have reached our website via Facebook ads. For example, if you purchase a product on our website, the Facebook pixel is activated and stores your actions on our website in one or more cookies. These cookies enable Facebook to match your user data (customer data such as IP address, user ID) with your Facebook account data. Facebook then deletes this data. The data collected is anonymous and cannot be viewed by us and is only used in the context of advertisements. If you are a Facebook user and are logged in, your visit to our website is automatically assigned to your Facebook user account.
Our aim is to show our services and products only to those people who are actually interested in them. With the help of the Facebook pixel, our advertising measures can be better adapted to your wishes and interests. Facebook users (if they have allowed personalized advertising) see suitable advertising. Facebook also uses the data collected for analysis purposes and for its own advertisements.
If you are logged in to Facebook, you can change your settings for advertisements yourself at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. If you are not a Facebook user, you can generally manage usage-based online advertising at http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/. There you have the option of deactivating or activating providers.
You can find more information on data protection at Facebook in the company's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
LinkedIn Insight-Tag
We use the conversion tracking tool LinkedIn Insight Tag on our website. The service provider is the American company LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited (Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland) is responsible for data protection aspects in the European Economic Area (EEA), the EU and Switzerland.
LinkedIn also processes your data in the USA. We would like to point out that, in the opinion of the European Court of Justice, there is currently no adequate level of protection for the transfer of data to the USA. This may entail various risks for the legality and security of data processing.
LinkedIn uses so-called standard contractual clauses (= Art. 46 para. 2 and 3 GDPR) as the basis for the processing of data by recipients in third countries (outside the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, in particular in the USA) or for the transfer of data there. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are model contracts provided by the EU Commission and are intended to ensure that your data complies with European data protection standards even if it is transferred to and stored in third countries (such as the USA).
Through these clauses, LinkedIn undertakes to comply with the European level of data protection when handling your relevant data, even if the data is stored, processed and managed in the USA. These clauses are based on an implementing decision of the EU Commission.
You can find the decision and the corresponding standard contractual clauses here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dec_impl/2021/914/oj?locale=de.
Further information on the standard contractual clauses at LinkedIn can be found at https://de.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa or https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.
Further information on the LinkedIn Insight Tag can be found at https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/a427660.
Further details on the data processed through the use of the LinkedIn Insight tag can also be found in the privacy policy at https://de.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Email Marketing
If you would like to subscribe to our newsletter, which is offered on the website, we require your e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is either not collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. To process the newsletter, we use newsletter service providers, which are described below.
HubSpot
We use HubSpot to send our newsletter. The provider is HubSpot Germany GmbH, Am Postbahnhof 17, 10243 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as "HubSpot"). HubSpot is a service that enables the organization and evaluation of newsletter distribution. The data you provide to receive the newsletter (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on HubSpot's servers in Germany with backups in Ireland.
The newsletters we send via HubSpot enable us to analyze the behavior of the recipients. This includes, for example, analyzing how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often links in the newsletters have been clicked on. Conversion tracking can also be used to determine whether a predefined action (e.g. the purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on a link in the newsletter.
Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by unsubscribing from the newsletter via the link provided in every newsletter message. The legality of the data processing that has already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal of your consent.
The data you provide for the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted from the mailing list after you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, we or the newsletter service provider may store your e-mail address in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time.
Audio & Video
YouTube
We have embedded YouTube videos on our website in order to be able to present interesting videos to you directly on our site. YouTube is a video portal and has been a subsidiary of Google since 2006. The video portal is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you access a page on our website on which a YouTube video is embedded, your browser automatically establishes a connection to the YouTube or Google servers. Depending on your settings, various data will be transmitted. Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all data processing in Europe.
When you visit our pages with embedded YouTube videos, YouTube sets at least one cookie that stores your IP address and our URL. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can usually assign your interactions on our website to your profile using cookies. This may include data such as the duration of your visit, the bounce rate, your approximate location, technical information such as browser type, screen resolution or your internet service provider. Other data may include contact details, ratings, sharing content on social media or adding videos to your favorites on YouTube.
If you are not signed in to a Google or YouTube account, Google stores data with a unique identifier associated with your device, browser or app. For example, your preferred language setting will be retained. However, a lot of interaction data cannot be stored because fewer cookies are set.
The data collected by Google is stored for different lengths of time. Some data can be deleted by you at any time, other data is automatically deleted after a certain period of time, and other data is stored by Google for a longer period of time. Some data (such as items in "My activity", photos or documents, products) that are stored in your Google account are stored until you delete them. Even if you are not signed in to a Google Account, you can delete some data associated with your device, browser or app.
If you have consented to the processing and storage of your data by embedded YouTube elements, the data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). In principle, your data is also stored and processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) in fast and effective communication with you and other customers and business partners.
Plugins & Tools
Google reCAPTCHA
Our primary goal is to secure and protect our website in the best possible way for you and for us. To this end, we use Google reCAPTCHA, which is provided by Google Inc. For the European area, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services.
The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data entered on this website (for example in a contact form) originates from a human or from an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of website visitors based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as a visitor enters the website. Various information is analyzed (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website and mouse movements made by the user) and the data collected is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses take place entirely in the background, without website visitors being informed.
The storage and analysis of the data is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can revoke at any time with effect for the future.
Further information on Google reCAPTCHA can be found in Google's privacy policy and Google's terms of use at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de.
Font Awesome
On our website we use Font Awesome, a product of the American company Fonticons (307 S. Main St., Suite 202, Bentonville, AR 72712, USA). When you access one of our websites, the web fonts from Font Awesome (in particular icons) are loaded via the Font Awesome Content Delivery Network (CDN). This ensures that texts, fonts and icons are displayed correctly on every device.
In order to load the web fonts, your browser must establish a connection to the servers of Fonticons, Inc. Your IP address is recorded in the process. Font Awesome also collects information about which icon files are downloaded and when. In addition, technical data such as your browser version, screen resolution and the time of the page view are transmitted.
This data is collected and stored for a variety of reasons, including optimizing content delivery networks, detecting and fixing technical errors, protecting against abuse and attacks on CDNs, billing Font Awesome Pro customers, determining the popularity of icons, and collecting information about your computer and software.
If your browser does not allow web fonts, a default font from your computer will be used automatically. As far as we are currently aware, no cookies are set.
The legal basis for the processing of your data by Font Awesome is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you have given by using Font Awesome. In addition, we have a legitimate interest in using Font Awesome to optimize our online services. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). However, we only use Font Awesome if you have given your prior consent.
For more information on data processing by Font Awesome and its handling of data, we recommend the privacy policy at https://fontawesome.com/privacy and the help page at https://fontawesome.com/support.
Google Fonts Local
We use Google Fonts on our website, which are provided by Google Inc. Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for the European region. We have integrated the Google fonts locally on our web server, not on Google's servers. This means that there is no connection to Google's servers and no data is transferred or stored.
For more information about Google Web Fonts, please visit https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and read Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Maps
We use Google Maps on our website, which is provided by Google Inc. For the European area, the company Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services. By using Google Maps, we can better display locations and adapt our service to your needs. When you use Google Maps, data is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers.
In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to process your IP address. This information may be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence on this further data processing. If Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Web Fonts for the uniform display of fonts. When you access Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
The use of Google Maps is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and any data transfer to the USA is based on your express consent when activating the plugin (Article 49(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission also exist for the transfer of data to the USA. Further details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/DSGVOcontrollerterms/ and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/DSGVOcontrollerterms/sccs/.
Further information on data processing by Google and the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Obligation to provide data
We require some of the above personal data for the performance of our services or the contract with you and/or to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject. If you refuse to provide personal data that is necessary for the performance of the contract or that we must process due to legal obligations, it may not be possible for us to fulfill these services and/or in particular the above-mentioned purposes and/or it would significantly slow down the relevant purpose.
Objection to advertising emails
We hereby object to the use of the contact data published as part of our obligation to provide a legal notice for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising emails and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example in the form of spam e-mails.
